review//MARLEY & ME

Here's the first guest review. My best friend Terry went to see Marley and Me today and was pleasantly surprised. Which is great news. Owen Wilson needs a comeback. So, here's Terry's review of the movie. He's got a good eye for movies, so I trust his word on this one. I have yet to see it.

I just saw the movie Marley and Me and I must say it was incredible. Going into the movie I was unsure of what to expect, as I have not liked the last few movies starring Owen Wilson. The movie follows John and Jennifer Grogan (played by Owen Wilson and Jennifer Anniston, respectively) and their family. It begins with their marriage, and follows them as they get jobs, and start a family, beginning with their purchase of a dog, Marley. This dog is christened “The worst dog in the world.” You will fall in love with both Marley, and the whole Grogan family. While at first, I did not see Wilson and Anniston being married, the movie quickly convinced me that they were truly a family, and something about the whole film just seemed like true life. The movie is witty and will keep you laughing from start to finish. From the hilarious antics of the dog, to the witty banter of John (Wilson), the movie brought chuckles from the entire crowd. It is a wholesome family movie, and while I am not often one to cry during movies, some scenes even brought a tear to my eye. This movie is a must see if you are looking for a good comedy this year, especially if you have a family movie in mind. It makes me glad to see that Hollywood can still produce a movie that is funny without being vulgar or full of sexual references (albeit there were a few). As for me, this is a movie I will see again, and may even purchase to have in my own collection.
