review//I LOVE YOU, MAN

My favorite movie of the year so far.

The movie follows Peter (Paul Rudd at his best) as he goes on the search for a Best Man before his upcoming nuptials. He doesn't have any close guy friends, so he does everything from using the internet, and even letting his mom set him up. And, after a few man-dates go wrong, Peter stumbles across Syndey (Jason Segel), and the two hit it off. Quickly they become best friends, which starts to put a slight strain on Peter's relationship with his fiance (Rashida Jones from "The Office").

The funny thing about this movie was that the characters were very relatable. I can immediately think of people that I know just like both Sydney and Peter.

The comedic timing is key in this movie, which could have easily turned into an old, boring comedy. But thanks to the hilarious performances by the entire cast (Jaime Pressley is hilarious), the pace continues to move and the one-liners just keep coming. I was literally laughing out loud the entire time.

It's rated R for language, so keep that in mind.
