awards//82ND ACADEMY AWARDS

Hollywood's biggest night has come and gone. The favorites to win the "big" awards walked away victorious, leaving us with fewer surprises than in recent years. The big winners were The Hurt Locker, whose director, Kathryn Bigelow, became the first female to win Best Director, and Sandra Bullock, who gave arguably the best speech of the night (something she's become famous for the past few months), after winning Best Actress. I ended up with 14 out 24 correct in my predictions. Not my best year, but not the worst either. I almost got shut out by my good friend Brent, who came in second with 12. No one's ever come that close before.
Here's a list of some of the big winners.
