nominees//64TH EMMY AWARDS

What the Oscars are for movies and the Grammys are for music, the Emmys are television's biggest night. HBO, as has been for the past couple of years, garnered the most nominations for a network, with 81 nods, while FX's American Horror Story and AMC's Mad Men tied for the most nominations for a single program with 17 each. Here's a rundown of the biggest categories.
The 64th Primetime Emmys will be broadcast live September 23 from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on ABC. Comedian Jimmy Kimmel will return as host. For more information and a complete list of nominees, check out Emmys.tv.
