The UK's Sight & Sound Magazine releases one of the penultimate top ten lists of films each year. The magazine is published by the British Film Institute. The Act of Killing, one of the top-reviewed documentaries of 2013, makes the top of the list, joining past number ones from the list like The Master, The Social Network, The Tree of Life, and A Prophet. One of the top frontrunners for the 2014 Best Picture Oscar, Gravity, came in at number two. The other Oscar frontrunner, 12 Years a Slave, didn't break into the top ten. The 2014 Cannes Film Festival Palme d'Or winner, Blue is the Warmest Color, clocked in at number three. Here's a look at the complete top ten:
