The New York Film Critics Circle Awards were the first of the critics groups to pass out awards this award season. Boyhood was the big winner, taking the Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Supporting Actress prizes. The awards add buzz to the likes of Timothy Spall and Marion Cotillard.

The NYFCC is just one of a few critics groups in the New York area that will hand out awards over the next couple of months.
