winners//2015 DENVER FILM CRITICS SOCIETY AWARDS

AWARDS COVERAGE

A few critics groups have been unconventional in their award recipients, choosing something other than Boyhood or Birdman for the top prize. But, the unconventional choice has been an already-lauded film like The Grand Budapest Hotel, which is fine. The Denver Film Critics Society, however, has chosen to go completely left field and pick a film that not many have seen yet, but is worthy of some notice. This is American Sniper's first Best Picture prize, despite being also included on a few Top Ten lists.
