AWARDS COVERAGE



The first major awards show of the season made for a good night for those behind Spotlight. The current Oscar frontrunner picked up multiple awards, including Best Feature and Screenplay accolades. Other big winners of the night were Paul Dano, for Love and Mercy, and surprise Best Actress winner Bel Powley, who beat out frontrunner Cate Blanchett, with her turn in The Diary of a Teenage Girl.

The awards were held at Cipriani Wall Street in New York, hosted by Ilana Glazer and Abbi Jacobson of "Broad City".
