winners//73rd GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS

AWARDS COVERAGE

JANUARY 10, 2016
The Beverly Hilton, Beverly Hills, CA

For its 73rd annual ceremony, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association delivered a surprising mix of expected winners and award season shake ups. The Revenant, expected to be among the Academy Award nominees announced this week, took top honors in three major categories, including Best Picture (Drama), Best Director (Alejandro G. Inarritu), and Best Actor (Leonardo DiCaprio). Going home empty-handed? Critical darlings Mad Max: Fury Road and Spotlight. Both films, up for numerous awards, didn't win a single mention.

Hosted by Ricky Gervais, Hollywood's second-biggest night took place at The Beverly Hilton.
