AWARDS COVERAGE

We all dream in gold. So says the campaign for the 88th Academy Awards. After an award season that saw several frontrunners make their mark, Hollywood's biggest night was full of a lot of Mad Max: Fury Road and a few surprises.

The Revenant, Spotlight, and The Big Short were each favorited as the possible Best Picture, with Tom McCarthy's journalism feature, Spotlight, taking the top prize. Leonardo DiCaprio finally took home an acting award after six nominations. Brie Larson begins her trek as the newest silver screen ingenue with a win for Best Actress. And, newcomer Alicia Vikander upset the Best Supporting Actress category after an incredible 2015.

The ceremony was hosted by Chris Rock at the famed Dolby Theatre on Sunday, February 28, 2016.
