AWARDS COVERAGE

The Washington D.D. Area Film Critics Association was nice to Jordan Peele's Get Out, naming the satirical thriller the year's Best Film.

The film also earned a win for Best Original Screenplay.

In keeping out of the similar results other critics groups had been leaning lately, the WAFCA Awards also handed wins to Sam Rockwell for Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri for Best Supporting Actor (an award he had been trending to win, but had become overshadowed by Willem Dafoe) and Christopher Nolan for Dunkirk in the Best Director category.

The WAFCA is comprised of critics based in D.C., Virginia, and Maryland.
