News // LINEUP ANNOUNCED FOR THE 2018 L.A. FILM FESTIVAL

40 feature films make up the lineup of 'in competition' films.

The 2018 Los Angeles Film Festival lineup has been announced, as the festival moves into the busy fall festival season, as opposed to its usual summer slot. Several high profile films will see their world premieres at the festival, plus many highly regarded films will screen, like Border, from director Ali Abbasi. The film took the Un Certain Regard prize out of Cannes this year.

LAFF runs September 20 through 28, 2018. 40 feature films, 41 short films, and 10 short episodic works representing 26 countries are included in the festival's lineup. The festival, taking place in the heart of the hometown of Hollywood, takes special marks for being one of the fall's festivals to provide groundwork for diversity as 42% of films are directed by women and 39% are directed by people of color.

The Opening and Closing Nights and Galas films will be announced at a later date.
