The end of November wasn't much of a box office draw.
Audiences spent the weekend very similarly to last weekend, as Ralph Breaks the Internet (#1) topped the box office for a second weekend. The rest of the Top Ten looked almost exactly like it did last weekend, with the newest title, The Possession of Hannah Grace (#7) debuting in seventh place.
Ralph Breaks the Internet's haul is just under $120 million, domestically. Internationally, it's now earned over $200 million.
The other animated flick still making bank is Universal's The Grinch (#2). The Christmas movie brought in another $17.7 million.
The Possession of Hannah Grace topped expectations, bringing in $6.5 million. This isn't a typical time for horror films and the C- CinemaScore shows it isn't likely to develop any word-of-mouth buzz.
Green Book (#10) expanded this weekend, which helped it maintain its box office. The awards season favorite was expected to be a big box office surprise, but has failed to maximize on its buzz.
Limited release films did better, relatively, with The Favourite (#13) topping the per-theater average for the second weekend in a row. Last weekend, the film turned in the best per-theater average since La La Land. Also in limited release, Anna and the Apocalypse (#30) took in $50,000 from five theaters.
Leaving the Top Ten this weekend, A Star is Born (#11) ends its box office journey by adding another $1.9 million to its total. The hit film is now sitting just under $200 million, domestically. It could re-enter the Top Ten as awards season continues.
Next weekend, Steven Spielberg's Schindler's List gets a special 25th anniversary release. Plus, Mary Queen of Scots, Ben is Back, and Vox Lux will all get limited releases.
