Tyler Perry Studios, based in Atlanta, has hired TV and film production executive, Michelle Sneed, as the new president of production and development. Sneed comes to the studio from BET, where she served as the network's director of physical production for the past three years.
Prior to her stint at BET, Sneed worked in production management for six years with Tyler Perry Studios, serving as a member of the original production team at the Studios' former Greenbriar home. During her tenure at TPS, she was part of a team that produced over 400 episodes of television.

Tyler Perry Studios, backed by the director, producer and writer with the same name, is currently in the midst of a multi-year contract with Viacom. The deal includes original drama and comedy series across Viacom's networks and a first-look film deal with Paramount Pictures. The first film to come out of the deal is Nobody's Fool, starring Tiffany Haddish and produced by Tyler Perry. the film releases this November.
Tyler Perry Studios operates out of the former army base, Fort McPherson, providing over 330 acres of property for film production.
