Nominees // 33rd AMERICAN SOCIETY OF CINEMATOGRAPHERS AWARDS

All five theatrical nominees hail from different countries.

The American Society of Cinematographers has announced its nominees for the 33rd ASC Awards.

The top award is open to any theatrically released title, foreign and domestic, which shows this year as all five nominees hail from different countries. Mexico's Alfonso Cuaron is expected to be the ultimate winner for his work on Roma. The other nominees include American Matthew Libatique for A Star is Born, Ireland's Robbie Ryan for The Favourite, Sweden's Linus Sandgren for First Man, and Poland's Lukasz Zal for Cold War.

Robert Richardson will receive the ASC Lifetime Achievement Award. Jeff Jur will receive the Career Achievement in Television Award.

2019 also marks the society's 100th anniversary.

The 33rd ASC Awards will be held February 9, 2019, at the Ray Dolby Ballroom at Hollywood & Highland.
