Winners // 2019 PHILADELPHIA FILM CRITICS CIRCLE

Rian Johnson's Knives Out gains a very surprising Best Film prize.

This awards season is still any film's to win. Though The Irishman and Parasite have nabbed the most Best Picture or Film awards, so far, with most critics group hastily announcing their end-of-the-year awards, we are bound to get a few surprises. Such is the case with Philadelphia Film Critics Circle, a group that awarded its Best Film prize to Rian Johnson's Knives Out.

The whodunnit has mostly earned nominations or wins for its Ensemble Cast throughout the season. Its screenplay is also oft predicted as a potential Golden Globes and Oscar nominee.
