Winners // 2013 AMERICAN FILM INSTITUTE AWARDS

The AFI Awards are presented each year by the American Film Institute, voted on by a pool of AFI members (of which I am one), scholars, film and television artists, critics and AFI trustees. The organization is determined to recognize the artistic contributions to America's rich film and cultural legacy.

Each year's awards honor the Top 10 Films and Top 10 Television Series at a special ceremony featuring an ensemble of cast and crew members of each production chosen. This year's picks include the usuals like 12 Years a Slave and Gravity, plus some smaller films that have slowly been picking up speed like Her and Nebraska.
