Winners // 2016 NORTH CAROLINA FILM CRITICS ASSOCIATION AWARDS



Damien Chazelle's La La Land has won multiple awards from the North Carolina Film Critics Association, including Best Picture, Director, and Actress.


Other notable winners include Hell or High Water (winning Supporting Actor and Original Screenplay) and O.J.: Made in America, continuing its documentary streak with another critics group win.


The Tar Heel Award, given to a film or artist with North Carolina connections, was given to Jeff Nichols, director of Midnight Special and Loving. Nichols is a graduate of UNC School of Arts.
