Winners // 2017 SAN DIEGO FILM CRITICS SOCIETY AWARDS

Get Out winning a Best Film prize is nothing new, but still notable as the film was released almost a year ago and is a genre film, a type of movie that doesn't usually stick around in the season this long.

The San Diego Film Critics Society award Jordan Peele's satirical horror flick the Best Film award, plus the Screenplay award.

Greta Gerwig picked up the Director prize. And, in a first for this season, James McAvoy earned the Best Actor prize for Split.
