Winners // 2017 UTAH FILM CRITICS ASSOCIATION

The awards race has belonged to a select group of films this year (arguably more than in previous years), but there are still underlying hits that have failed to earn their worth this season. That stops with the Utah Film Critics Association, as the group awarded Best Picture to David Lowery's A Ghost Story.

The quiet, indie starring Casey Affleck and Rooney Mara did decent box office business during a limited release in the summer, but failed to make it far beyond that.

UFCA's awards also highlighted off-the-radar winners like Tatiana Maslany for Stronger.
