Winners // 27th GOTHAM INDEPENDENT FILM AWARDS



The 27th Gotham Independent Film Awards mark one of the first awards ceremonies of the season, issuing in the first glimpse of which films are set to dominate the awards season.


Get Out earned a respectable amount of awards, easily determining its awards season spot as a potential frontrunner. But, it was Luca Guadagnino's Call Me By Your Name that earned the top award.


The indie film, starring Timothee Chalamet and Armie Hammer, earned a spot in the news this weekend as the crowned titan of the specialty box office this weekend. It also triumphed, earning multiple awards including Best Feature and Best Breakthrough Actor.


The Gotham Awards celebrate independent cinema. The 27th ceremony was hosted by John Cameron Mitchell.
