Winners // 65th ACE EDDIE AWARDS

The American Cinema Editors celebrates achievements in film editing gave new awards to Oscar frontrunners Boyhood and The Grand Budapest Hotel. The two titles picked up the major awards for dramatic and comedic films, respectively. This is a big rush for the upcoming Academy Awards, as a winner in either category has gone on to win the Best Picture Oscar at seven of the last twelve Academy Awards. Those odds are pretty good.

The Lego Movie, which did not make the Oscar shortlist as Best Animated Film, picked up the prize for best editing in an animated film.
