Winners // 71st DIRECTORS GUILD AWARDS

Alfonso Cuaron wins another directing prize for Roma.

As has been the constant this awards season, Alfonso Cuaron rightfully earned another win for his directing achievement for Roma. This time, the win was from the Directors Guild of America.

Cuaron, who's earned this award before, was up against Spike Lee, Bradley Cooper, Adam McKay, and Peter Farrelly. Lee, who was nominated for BlacKkKlansman, is Cuaron's strongest competition for the directing Oscar.

Cooper missed out on winning the overall directing award as well as the First-Time Feature prize. Eighth Grade's Bo Burnham earned that prize.
